HE IS ALWAYS THERE

©2016 simple mom photography

Your Heavenly Father loves you—each of you. That love never changes. It is not influenced by your appearance, by your possessions, or by the amount of money you have in your bank account. It is not changed by your talents and abilities. It is simply there. It is there for you when you are sad or happy, discouraged or hopeful. God’s love is there for you whether or not you feel you deserve love. It is simply always there.
As we seek our Heavenly Father through fervent, sincere prayer and earnest, dedicated scripture study, our testimonies will become strong and deeply rooted. We will know of God’s love for us. We will understand that we do not ever walk alone. I promise you that you will one day stand aside and look at your difficult times, and you will realize that He was always there beside you. - Thomas S. Monson, General Conference talk - October 2013

FAMILY SHARE ARTICLE: 6 SMALL WAYS A MAN MAKES HIS WIFE FEEL UGLY

I know quite a few men who do these things, and some of their wives act as if nothing is even happening so that they don't ruffle any feathers, and the other wives are timid, insecure, and have very low self-esteem. I'm the second type: been there, went through it......................and wish I would have followed my intuition in the first place.

I'm so thankful for the example of my grandfather and the way that he loved and respected my grandmother. They were best friends, and loved being together. He was always telling her how much he loved her cooking, and during the times when she had to go to work, he felt terribly guilty and would help out with the dishes and he tried to help with the laundry and housekeeping. He kept a small amount of cash in his wallet for emergencies, which he never used, and gave his whole paycheck to my grandmother and trusted that she would manage their money well. Neither of them were worldly, and they lived very modestly. I know for sure that they are walking and holding hands together in heaven and enjoying the beauties around them, because that's all that was ever important to either of them anyway.
