In August, 2009, my husband and I were given an opportunity to visit Washington D.C.. While we were there, we had an awesome and humbling experience as we witnessed veterans, past and present, as they joined together in visiting the monuments which represented our fallen soldiers. I wish we would have had time to hang around them as they shared their stories with one another.
